Privacy

Short, because there isn’t much to say.

What This Site Doesn’t Do

No analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party ads, and no cookies of its own. It does remember your theme choice and your reading-view choice in your browser’s local storage, but that stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. There’s nothing on this site watching how you use it.

The One Exception: Email Updates

The Enoda and Remeta pages each have a form for update notifications. If you enter your email there, it goes straight to MailerLite, the service I use to send those updates. The address is held by MailerLite, and I can see it in my subscriber dashboard there. Each email carries an unsubscribe link, and MailerLite has its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab) covering what they do with it.

Nowhere else on the site asks for anything.

Who Is Responsible

I am: Alexandros Kalogrianitis, an individual based in the UK, and the controller of your email address under UK data protection law. MailerLite acts as my processor, handling the address only to send you the updates you asked for. You can reach me at alexdkalogrianitis@gmail.com.

Why I Hold It, and for How Long

The only personal data I collect on purpose is the email address you type into an update form. My basis for holding it is your consent: you gave it to me, for this one purpose, by submitting the form. I use it only to tell you about Enoda and Remeta, and I don’t sell it, share it or use it for anything else.

I keep it until you unsubscribe or until I stop sending updates about those apps, whichever comes first. After that I delete it.

Your Rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent at any time (the unsubscribe link in every email does this, or just email me), and object to how it is used. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything done before you withdrew it. If you think I’ve handled your data badly, you can complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab). I’d rather hear from you first.

Hosting

This is a static site on GitHub Pages, so GitHub sees the ordinary server logs any host would: your IP address and browser, for whichever pages you request. That’s covered by GitHub’s own privacy statement (opens in a new tab), not anything I run.
